2026 Club Scoring Changes
As discussed and voted upon at the AGM please see below regarding the new Club competition scoring which is being trialled this year.
This year for the Club competition the League will be trialling a new way to calculate the Club score. Instead of using the clubs top 8 shooters, the top 2 shooters from each of the following classifications will be used: AA, A, B, C.
All shooters will have a Day Classification applied to their score but this is only used for the calculation of the club score. Your established individual classification assigned at the start of the league will remain the same.
This will allow for all clubs to potentially have shooters in every classification for the club score.
If a club does not have enough shooters in a particular class to draw their top 2 then the next lowest score from the class above, or the next highest score from the class below will be used. The lowest score from the class above will be used as the default.
This system is being trialled as a way to bridge the gaps in club abilities and shooter pools which is why it was felt that AAA & D shooters scores would not be used at this time as not all clubs would have shooters in these classifications whilst some clubs have a larger proportion of them in their club.
By using the combination of Day classifications and top 2 from the above classes the club competition opened up and points distribution was much more varied.
In addition please note that we will not be reclassifying shooters after 3 shoots like last year. Only new shooters will be classified after 3 shoots or if someone is clearly shooting well above their class ability. The class assigned at the end of 2025 will be your shooters class for 2026.
